Strengthened by His grace
As I get ideas into this brain of mine daily, some stay , others float on through but I was drawn to a picture that I saw in a magazine the other day.... this precious little girl, bald from chemo, and it said.... "Emma vs cancer.... you can help her win" It was from St. Jude Children`s Research Hospital. I tore it out of the magazine, and put it in my ever growing stash of ideas, not really knowing what to do with it but holding onto it anyway. Then.... it hit me.... As I am in the present, doing some angel creations, I thought, "Why not a bald angel to relate to all of those who are going through cancer or have been through it or have lost loved ones to it?"
I just wanted it to be simple, but to represent those dear ones, who I am sure, must feel like the forgotten ones. When you are in the midst of cancer, even in the midst of cancer as a loved one is going through it, it is your whole world. Inside the 4 walls of the hospital, your world has stopped. Then when you step outside, it seems the world has gone on without you, while you, in your new little world, are fighting the fight of your life...
This angel is for those people. For all the Emmas out there, for all of the family members who are watching and standing by helplessly as their loved one is fighting this disease... You are not forgotten, you are loved.....
Happy Sunday!
Love,
