Today, I want to tell you about a sweet girl who is fighting the battle of
her life. She is in heart failure and her heart is too damaged for her to be
placed on the heart transplant list. Unless a miracle happens, and we know it
can, she is taking steps each day that lead her closer to being with our Lord.
She is home from the hospital and being loving taken care of by her family and
friends.
I came in contact with this family several years ago while I was on a girls
trip at the beach with my Mother and sister. We met her Mother, Edie, at a glass
blowing class. We talked, we exchanged emails and facebooks and became internet
friends. At that time, we both were writing caring bridge entries. Me, for
Mother, and she had one going for her daughter, Elyssa, that I started
following.
Elyssa had received a heart transplant as a young child, and over these
last few years, has been in and out of the hospital with different illnesses.
Her sister gave her a bone marrow transplant last year and life looked good. She
developed shingles this past summer and the infections and damage started.
I want to ask you all to take a minute of your time and jot her address
down. I would love to flood her mailbox with cards of cheer and encouragement...
If you can`t send a card, go to her page and send a message. I know how
important it is to have people who care and understand to be with you when going
through trials. I would love for this 'CARDS FOR ELYSSA" to spread and let
people from all over know about it and send cards to her.

Thank you for reading about Elyssa, and please remember to pray for her and
her family...
Have a great day, count your blessings daily!!
Love,
Jane
