Anticipation

This week, I worked on a painting that I had started some time ago. I never really like the hair that I had put on her. So, she sat, untouched, on the shelf for a long while. I pulled her out yesterday to play with  her and  decided to go with pigtails. I love little girls in pigtails. Something so whimsical and fun about seeing them... so,  pigtails it would be....  and of course, tutus go perfect with pigtails, right?!!!

 I call the painting, "Anticipation" Looks like she is on her tippy toes, looking out the window , waiting for someone special to come!

    this is wonderful! I love that we can only see her from the back and her pigtails are adorable. You've really captured the wriggly, excited anticipation of a little girl looking out the window to see what's coming.
