I heard this illustration last week in my Bible Study during devotion time and it makes your think... How are we compared to pencils? Well, read on.....
1. Everything you do will always leave a mark
2. You can always correct the mistakes you make
3. What is important is what is inside of you
4. In life, you will undergo painful sharpening which will only make you better
5. To be the best, you must allow yourself to be held and guided by the hand that holds you
And lastly, Billy Graham once said that "our life without God is like an unsharpened pencil, this is no point!"
So, next time you hold a pencil in your hand to write, think of these comparisons and remember just what is important in our lives!
